5 Best Beauty Tips for my Girlsss

Hey Ladies!

Lately I have been hearing lots of girls talk or post about all the different beauty issues they seem to been struggling with and after experiencing some of the exact things, I wanted to share with you all the little things I found that work best to solve these problems and also, just share with you some tips and tricks that work best! I’m definitely not a beauty expert, that’s for sure 😉 , but I do believe our bodies are temples, beautifully, and wonderfully made, and we are called to take care of them.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 >>> “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought with a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies”

Soooo, here are my 5 best beauty tips for my nightly routine (that actually work) that I do and you should too!

Number 1: REMOVE YOUR MAKEUP: I CAN NOT push this enough!! In all honesty, I used to be really lazy on this, not really caring if my makeup stayed on or off… I knew it felt gross in the morning, but I still just blew it off. Then one day, I came upon this article that shared all the different things that take place on/ inside your skin when you don’t take off your makeup and let me tell you- it was (and is) DISGUSTING. Since then, I have done pretty well (thankfully) on remembering and pushing myself to *always* (with exception 😉 ) take off my makeup.

I will spare you from all the not-so-pleasant details (you can look them up on your own 😉 ) of what happens when you don’t remove your “pretty face” ;), but I will let you know that:

  • it will help break-outs (minor or major); you won’t have as many
  • it is SO SO SO much healthier for your skin in so many different areas and ways
  • you/ your skin will feel a thousand times better (I PROMISE); especially in the mornings

My Recommendation: I recommend to use Neutrogena Ultra- Soft Cleansing Towelettes (see picture below or click link above). Not only do they work extremely well (1 wipe does it all), but they are great/ don’t burn. This is super important for me because I, personally, have extremely sensitive skin and so wipes that don’t burn is what ya girl needs 😉 and these ones are PERFECT for that!

Number 2: WASH YOUR FACE! Not only is this a simple, and important thing to do in general, but it is super important to do after you take off your makeup. Obviously there is going to be those removing chemicals from the wipe you will want to rinse off, but also the water can be the final remover of anything left on your face. This task will take maybe a good 2 minutes MAX., and is about as easy as it gets, so there’s really no reason as to why you shouldn’t be doing it!

Number 3: OILS & OTHER LOTIONS: Okay, so I don’t really know a lot about all the oils & other liquids out there (nor do I really care enough to do so, to be honest), but there are 2 basic ones I really like to use and ones that truly help! Here they are…

  • Coconut Oil: I’m sure you’ve heard about this one before and all the marvelous things it can do/ be used  for, but I personally love putting it on my face/ skin after removing my makeup and/or showering! Not only is this oil the best solution for dry/ dead skin, but also keeping the skin healthy and clear!

My Recommendation: I suggest using either Spectrum Organic Coconut Oil, or LouAna Coconut Oil (see pictures below), it’s the solid form of the oil. You don’t need much, just take a little bit, it will melt in your hands, and then  rub it onto your skin. Like I said, after removing your makeup and/or showering and before bed is usually the best time to apply it and then in the mornings, when you wash your face, you can rinse it off if needed.

  • Lotion: Lotion isn’t something I *super* big on… I mean I’m all for the soft, luscious skin, but definitely not one of those Bath and Body Works freaks 😉 that overdoes it, lol. That being said, I do like to use some after shaving my legs, and to prevent dry skin and crusty elbows, ha.

My Recommendation: Whether you are a VS person or not, I recommend using Victoria Secret Ultimate Moisture System- Passionflower Scrub Wash, Lotion & Oil Set (see picture below). It is just one of many kinds, but it is one that works great and doesn’t smell bad ;), ha.

Number 4: BRUSH YOUR HAIR & LET IT DOWN: This is one of the simpler ones, but one that is still extremely important to remember! One of the biggest times that our cells grow and produce is while we are sleeping. When you leave your hair up in a pony tail, or bun, it remains clumped together, and won’t be able to grow as well as if it were down. Along with this, leaving your hair pulled up for long periods of time, can cause indents throughout the hair, which can eventually cause severe damage, such as breaks, etc. Don’t forget to brush your hair too, as often as you can, especially at the beginning and end of each day. It’s important to brush out the typical tangles from each day, in order to prevent bigger “rats” and keep our hair healthy.

Number 5: PUT ON A CLEAN SET OF CLOTHES: This is another one that I didn’t immediately jump to worry about, but then educated myself 😉 and now, rarely go without. If you really think about it, there is so much our bodies, and especially clothes, come in contact with throughout the day, both inside and out, and it’s really kinda gross. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for wearing the same pair of sweats twice in a row 😉 lol, butttt we really shouldn’t put on that same t-shirt we wore all day, right after we just rinsed ourselves/ bodies clean. Ya feel?! A fresh set of clothes will naturally feel better and of course, ALWAYS smell better 😉 ha.

Hopefully you learned something new, by reading these and will use/ do them in your future too! Let me know if any of you gals discover something new or better, that can help a sistaaa out too 😉  Thanks for reading…

Much love, Davianne
