hey y’all,
life has been crazy busy this month, especially these last few weeks, and i haven’t got much down time, but i am so excited to share all the fun things I’ve been up to!
January 10: earlier this month, my uncle received a major promotion for his job and on this Sunday afternoon, we went out to the base for the ceremony. it was such an honoring and proud moment for not only him, but our family as a whole. β€β€ afterwards, we went downtown in the Haymarket to Mckinney’s Pub for a party with other friends and family to celebrate! π the entire day overall was so exciting and extremely special for us all π
January 16: Yaya’s birthday!! ππ we didn’t really have anything planned ahead and she didn’t care what we ended up doing so we decided to spend the day at Conner’s wrestling meet with my family. Β i love how she will always go with the flow and is completely okay with doing the simple things. π and actually, God knew i would need her and made sure she was there with me that day to take on some unexpected battles, which i am forever grateful for. β€β€ i have been so blessed by her, in so many different ways and im beyond thankful that i can truly call her my best friend. πππ
January 17: the last, family Christmas with my grandpa’s side of the family! π yes it was 3 weeks into January, but this is always the time that works best for everybody and so we wait to have it. we all get together and eat lunch, trade gifts, and just catch up on life π
January 21: basketball games vs Raymond Central π love, love, love cheering basketball games ππ
January 22: FINALLY the Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett, & A Thousand Horses concert!! π’πΆ i had been waiting for this one for awhile and boy, did it feel good to get back to the concert life! πππ that night we ended up staying at a hotel just up the road from the Century Link Century with my grandparents, because the next day…
January 23: my cousins had a cheer competition also at Century Link Center, so we spent most of the day there! π both girls did amazing, and we love being able to go and support them as a family! π after we finished there and got all checked out of our hotel, my momma, grandpa, grandma, Shaylee, and I all went and ate dinner at one of our new favs-the Old Mattress Factory ππ which is also located right down there by the Century Link Center. lastly, before heading back to town that night, we stopped at the Whole Foods there in Omaha to grab some groceries. we love Whole Foods and the one in Omaha is a thousand times better than the one here in Lincoln, so obviously we couldn’t resist ππ
January 24: to finish off that weekend, we drove out to and spent another Sunday with my grandparents at their house. Shaylee, my grandpa, and i were able to cook and prepare all the food we gotten the day before, for the week ahead, while my momma and grandma did some work. it was just the right, nice, peaceful day we needed after the couple busy, busy days we had before. π overall the weekend was so much fun and full of lots and lots of memories! πβ€β€ps- super cute photos below, so make sure ya check em out βΊ
January 27: dinner with fam to celebrate Conner’s birthday! ππ we all got together and ate at Copal Mexican Cuisine. Conner was the only one who had eaten there, before so it was a new experience for all of us… and not a bad one π. if you’re looking for some good Mexican food but with a twist, i would recommend going there! π
January 28: Centennial Basketball Conference games began. This Thursday night, both boys {boys playing against the other loser of first round} and girls played Omaha Concordia and won! ππ always fun to be able to cheer π on both teams, especially when they end up winning ππ.
January 29: Centennial Conference games continue- girls play Lincoln Lutheran and of course, won! ππ fun to have a good ole game between the rivals ha.
January 30: Centennial Conference championship game, and final day cheering for the weekend. this game was a really big one because we played Bishop Neumann- the only team our girls have lost to, and when they did it was by one point. butttt, the girls showed them exactly how good they really are and blew Bishop Neumann out, becoming Centennial Confrence champions! ππ exciting, exciting times for sure! ππππ cheered at games 3 days straight, but still no complaints πππππ
and there we are!.. looking into February, there are a lot of exciting things happening and all my weekends are packed the entire month π©, but i am going to try really, really hard to update after each one π π π, but we will see π make sure to check out the photos below. βΊ
