hey y’all,

i hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and were able to spend some quality time with family and friends, creating memories and cherishing the holiday together. 🎄🎅 here’s a recap of how i took on the crazy holiday week.

Tuesday: last Tuesday, a few days before Christmas, my cheer squad preformed our Christmas routine at the girls basketball game. 🏀😁 🎀 this routine is always super fun because it’s our “chill” one where we just put together the silly, fun stuff we wouldn’t normally get to do. we also get to wear super cute santa hats & long, elf style socks. 😁👌 that night was alumni night, so the gym was extra packed… and extra warm.🔥 but it was alright, we didn’t melt 😉 {even though we sure thought we would 😂}. a video of the performance will be up on Facebook, so check it out there 😊

Thursday: Christmas Eve! 🎄🎅 Thursday night, we went over to my Aunt Michelle’s & Uncle Scott’s house, like we do every year. my family, the 10 of us, always eats a big, soup dinner then open gifts from each other. this year, we changed up and attended the 9:00 church service instead of the earlier one. my momma, sister, grandparents and i all went to that, then went home for the night.

Friday: Christmas day! 🎄🎅 early that morning, we opened our gifts from “santa” and got back with the fam and ate another big, delicious breakfast together, celebrating Jesus’ birthday! 🎉🎈🎂 🎁 my cousins leave to go to a lunch with the other side of their family and the rest of us clean up and then relax for a little bit together, just hanging out. 👌❤ later that night, my momma, Shaylee and i spent time with Michael, doing gifts and eating dinner with him.😊 i was blessed with a bundle of amazing gifts, but i have chosen not to share them as i know others don’t get the chance to receive like i do, and in the end it doesn’t really matter.

hey hey 👋,

last week, my Advanced Art class decided to take a break from our own projects, and take the kindergarten students artwork of their own little monster, and make it come to life by creating an actual model of each monster! we created and painted them to look as close as to the original as we could, then took them down and surprised the kindergarteners with them! they were beyond happy and it was so cool being able to brighten up there day a bit 🙂 fun pictures of Sydney {my artist} and i below 👌👌 🎨

Thursday and Friday during the day were finals 😠😠 , then Friday night we had basketball games against GICC 🏀🏀 . Girls, obviously, won again & boys lost. Afterwards, a group of kids from mostly my class, went over to Minn’s house to hang out for a while 👌 that was pretty chill, just hanging with eachother. 😁

Saturday was a super fun day!! Shaylee and I spent most of the late morning into the early afternoon, running errands and doing a little bit of Christmas shopping. After that, Kallie got Dominica and I from our houses, as we had been planning on getting ready for “squad night” with the cheer sqaud later that night, together.  before we got all pretty 😉,  we ran to the mall and swung by Scooter’s. 😋😋 By that time, we needed to start getting ready, so we headed back to Kallie’s house and did just that 😊. Once we were all set, we headed over to The Oven to eat dinner with the other girls. We finished there, then headed to Eva’s house to do our Secret Santa/ gift exchange and just hang with one another! 🎁🎄🎅 overall, Saturday was a total blast and a day i would take again, anytime! 👍👍

Sunday, my momma and i spent the ENTIRE day, Christmas shopping! 🎅🎄 we were both completely exhausted by the end of the day, but were able to successfully, accomplish many things we needed to 👌👌, so it’s all good 😉

We are only 4 days away from Christmas 🎄🎅, and i am pumped! im excited to take on the busy week, and spend the Holiday with my loved ones 💕💕, most importantly, remembering the REAL reason for the season ❤.

hey y’all,

this weekend was a crazy busy, but extremely fun one. 🙂 here’s what took place:

Friday, the 11th: basketball games against our rivals, Lincoln Lutheran! we were at their place this year, and it was packed. 😮 girls, of course, won and boys had a rough loss. the kid from LL summed the night up well, saying something like that everyone always has that game circled on their calendars, and LCS always beats them in football, so it’s fun to see what happens in basketball. 🏀👌 sadly, one of our players got hurt and had to be taken to the hospital. even though, the situation was heart-breaking, it was absolutely amazing that 2 rival schools could come together as one and pray before God as brothers & sisters in Christ. 🙏👌 ahhh, still gives me chills thinking about. ❤❤ super cool pic of that below.

Saturday, the 12th: back to back basketball! 🏀 Saturday, we had to cheer for more basketball games, but this time we were home and played Sutton. once again, girls slayed 😉 and creamed ’em. 💁 then, surprisingly the boys won their game! 😱😱😱 totally shocked us all  because they haven’t had a very good season. but, they played strong all the way til the end, and got the dub. 😂😂👌👌 exciting night for us all!

Sunday, the 13th: each year, a side of my family gets together for our traditional family Christmas. there are 2 reasons this get together is one of my favs:

• the event is held in teeny, tiny, small town Pawnee City, Nebraska {which is by the way, where Dan Whitney AKA Larry the Cable Guy is from 😉💯}. my heart will always have a place for small towns and i absolutely love hitting the road, and headed out there. 😊😊💕

• this is one of those reunions where we get to see family memebers, that we rarely get to see at other times throughout the year. it’s always fun to catch up and spend some time together. 👌

the weather was not the best, it literally rained the entire day and was a bit cold, but we didn’t melt. 😉 other than that, it was a great end to the weekend and time well spent!

December has already been packed, and i can’t wait to see what else it brings 👌 im so pumped for the holiday and time with family coming up 🎅🎄, but until then, here’s to barely making it through the next few weeks and stressful days 😪, counting down every second until we’re done!

hey hey 👋,

November is one of my favorite months for a bundle of reasons. There’s just something about the weather/season change from Fall 🍂🍁🍃 to Winter ❄⛄☀💧, and the holiday spirit 🎅🎄 hitting full blast, that really puts me in the right mood 😆😆😊😊. i absolutely love being able to spend time with my family and friends, traveling, shopping and relaxing, and these end-of the-year months, are when all of that really, takes place. with that being said, here’s a recap of some events that have taken place throughout the busy month of November.

November 2, 3 & 5: to start off the month, we had a busy week full of volleyball sub-districts. for Monday and Tuesday, we played at Waverly, winning both which lead us to the game at Centennial High School. There we had a rough loss to Columbus Scotus, which hopefully you have already read about how good their team was in my last post. Obviously, since we lost, the season was over, but there were a lot of fun games to look  back on. 👍💙

November 6: this year, i am taking Advanced Art 🎨. November 6th was a Friday, and so my class decided to take the afternoon off and head to the Capital 🏤. who ever said, we were too old for field trips 😜?!? while we were there, we explored the entire building, checking out all the different patterns that fill the place, and unfortunately had a few other students get stuck in the elevator 😮😱😲. the maintenance people weren’t very helpful, and it took forever to get them out 👊, so i would highly suggest avoiding the elevators there if possible. even though we had that not-so-fun adventure, it was still a great day!✊

November 15: even though it was a Sunday, this day was an important one, with big events that took place. not only was it my sister Shaylee’s birthday 🎁🎂🎈🎉, but my first cheer competition 🎀. i spent the day with my squad, getting ready, doing hair and make up and all that beauty stuff. the competition was at the Century Link Center in Omaha, later that night. my whole family was there, which proves my sister deserves the “best sister” award for spending her birthday, watching my team compete 💁. Overall, our squad gave it our best and did  good as a whole, but didn’t place well. That was completely okay with us though, because unlike all the other teams there, we learned our routine in 2 weeks, instead of 2 months . Also the only reason we competed at that one, was for practice to get ready for our upcoming, bigger ones 👌. Here’s to only getting better and better and progressing towards the future, together as a squad! PS: cute pictures from the comp below 🙂

November 20: the next week, on Friday, the whole family got back together and headed to Olive Garden 😋 to eat and celebrate Shaylee’s birthday dinner. there’s some funny photos below that perfectly describe my family and the love we have for each other, so be sure to check them out below.

November 21: back in Omaha with the family again, this time though for Emily and Katie’s first competitive cheer competition. Emily’s team got 3rd place and Katie’s got 1st 🏆! seriously so proud of both girls, and how far they’ve come! they continue to be an inspiration to me throughout my cheer career. love them to pieces!! 💕💕

November 25-27: finally, Thanksgiving break 🍗🍞🍵🍪🍰🍯! On the day of Thanksgiving, my whole family eat a delicious lunch together, watched some football, play cards, looked at ads and overall just spent some quality time together. ❤❤ of course to continue on the tradition, we went Black Friday shopping 💲💳💰👜👛,  despite the yucky weather. Shaylee & I hit some of the early stores, just the two of us. then later that night, we got together with Yaya, Sheridan, and Sheridan’s sister, Ciara. so fun to see them, and do something we all love together, on a special night!! 😁 The 27th, or the day after the holiday, of course meant the Husker vs Hawkeye game! 🏈 Shaylee and i were able to take the 2 of our fam’s season tickets, because obviously we wouldn’t miss that game for anything! ha. my grandma and Conner, took the other seats. it was extremely cool for our grandma to take just the older grandkids or as we like to be called, the “originals” 😉 to a game, and have that time with us because a lot of women or families don’t get to have those moments. ❤ i know the four of us will always cherish that memory with one another👌. given the fact that the high for the weather that day was only 20°, it was absolutely FREEZING, and we lost the game, which was a bummer, but it was still something we are thankful to have the opportunity to do, when others may not. 👌 Friday night after the game, the 10 of us got together once again, and ate dinner as a family at F.O.X, close to home. 😋

November 29: my grandpa’s birthday is on the 30th, and we were looking towards a busy week, so the fam all met up in Seward, to eat for his birthday! 🎈🎂🎁🎉 since, the weather was supposed to get bad later that day, we grabbed a quick lunch at the local Mexican restaurant, we love 😋. yumma! good eats. good people. good times.

and just like that, we’re opening December and 2015 has about reached it’s end. i know i say it a lot, but honestly… WHERE DOES TIME GO?? 😩

to be quite honest, it bums me out that as i get older, time slips away faster than a blink of an eye, but at the same time, there is so much happiness around, you can’t do anything but cherish and make the most of it. December 🎅🎄⛄❄ is so beautiful in a thousand different ways, and I’m beyond ready for it (extra thanks to all the holiday spirit, really puttin’ me in the feels this year 😊😊😂), so I’m going to do exactly that.
